An Introduction to Therapeutic Tremoring for Singers & Voice Teachers In this 2-hour online workshop, you’ll be introduced to therapeutic tremoring and how it can be used as a powerful tool for nervous system regulation, vocal freedom, and performance confidence.
Therapeutic tremoring is a natural, involuntary shaking response in the body that can help release stored tension and support the nervous system in moving out of stress states and back into a sense of safety and regulation. When the body feels safe, the voice becomes more accessible, responsive, and free.
As singers and voice professionals know, even the most refined vocal technique can become difficult to access when the nervous system is activated. In fight, flight, or freeze states, the body often tightens, breath becomes restricted, and the voice can feel unreliable or out of reach. This is where embodied regulation practices become essential.
In this workshop, we will explore how therapeutic tremoring can support:
Nervous system regulation and downshifting out of stress states
Release of chronic physical tension that affects the breath and voice
Softening of stage nerves and performance anxiety
Greater ease, presence, and freedom in vocal expression
You will also be guided through a practical, embodied experience of tremoring so you can feel its effects in your own body, rather than only understanding it conceptually.
This approach offers a bridge between vocal pedagogy and nervous system awareness, and invites the question: what becomes possible for singers when the body is supported to feel safe?
This workshop is suitable for:
Singers and performers
Vocal teachers and voice coaches
Anyone interested in the connection between voice, nervous system, and embodied expression
